报告内容简介:
The world is making slow but encouraging progress towards installing non-carbon resources, mainly solar and wind generation. The fraction of non-carbon electric energy consumed is increasing but the variability of solar and wind is also requiring increases in appropriate backup energy during those times when this renewable energy is not available. This presentation summarizes the challenges faced by the reliable control and operation of the grid as non-firm resource capacity of the grid rapidly increases. Guaranteeing the reliability of the grid is the subject of this presentation.
